About
Quantum Ag has operated in the Wet Tropics of Queensland, Australia, since 2016. Darren Westerhuis, Managing Director, has conducted trial work in Far North Queensland across a broad range of horticultural crops and sugarcane since 2001.
Quantum Ag covers a unique environment which is subject to an average rainfall of 3.5m per year. Couple this with high temperatures and humidity make this area prone to high pest, disease and weed pressure, ideal for conducting field efficacy trials.
The Wet Tropics is located alongside World Heritage listed rainforest as well as the Great Barrier Reef just offshore. This makes for a complex environment for agriculture to be conducted safely and sustainably.
Here at Quantum Ag we strive to deliver high quality trial outcomes often under extreme environmental and growing conditions. We specialise in conducting field trials on commercial crops of tropical horticultural produce as well as sugarcane for the development of registerable agricultural chemicals. Trial work and reports are suitable for submission to the APVMA for assessment for registration.
